It's so hot, it makes me yearn for #rain. I'm in a #sombre mood today. For one, I've got the sniffles (and I'm an expert whiner), but more seriously: the hatchlings disappeared without a trace. 🥺 The nest is empty, the parents are nowhere in sight, and there's something on the floor that looks like dry blood. I haven't the faintest idea what happened. The nest sits undisturbed on the beam, so what could have snatched them? I didn't think the spot is easy to reach for a ground predator. It's just straight beams and walls. Could a raccoon or pine marten have climbed up there for a snack? Very sad. 😢

Die Strauchmargerite war ein spontaner Kauf im Baumarkt, damit in meinem Balkongarten Mitte April zumindest ein paar Blüten zu sehen sind.
Aber was haben die der Erde beigemischt 🤔 denn die riecht auch nach 2, 5 Wochen immer noch total unangenehm 😬
Auf jeden Fall kaufe ich im Baumarkt keine Pflanzen mehr 🚫👎
