Sometimes when I draw Jonathan, I regret not putting him in a romantic story lol
One thing I don’t think gets enough consideration in dungeon crawl games is height. While working this series I sort of avoided the issue, but I think I will need to come back to it for the next one... which will be more dungeon shit. #art #markers #illustration #rpg #ttrpg
I like ominous moments in my dungeons. While sight is the easy tool to use, I think sounds, smells, and tastes are even more effective at evoking the weight of a space.
I guess that is why I took this abstract approach to room illustration…
It has to be my gaming programing, but the moment I am told there is a statue in a room, I immediately expect it to move. When I was in some cathedrals in Europe recently I could have sworn some of them watched me waiting to pounce. Anyway, I like this one.
Happy #mermay ~~ When I saw the hashtag going around, I knew I wanted to find this old art (also from 2003, same sketchbook). This is a mixed-media piece incorporating #penandink, whiteout, and probably prismacolor #markers. #mermaid #fantasyart #illustration #art
One feature I wanted to have in this dungeon was that everything is wet. There is a river and lakes and fire is difficult to maintain. I’m really happy with how this one came out. The reflection shows the water without showing it. #art #markers #illustration #rpg #ttrpg
this piece is about being neurodivergent and specifically scatterbrained. In my youth they used to say "shes has a head full of clouds" created with ohuhu brush markers #art #traditionalart #watercolor #markers #abstractart #surrealart #ohuhu #abstractrealism
After a busy few days I am back at this series. What is a terrible cult without some sort of room of sacrifices? I like the idea of creating shapes that evoke the horror without actually showing the horror. It was more difficult at this size than expected. #art #markers #illustration #rpg #ttrpg
i got a new set of brush pens the stationery island brush pens i dont like the design of them because its box is very flimsy and you can't see the colours but I like the flexible brush tip so I did a test piece with it #abstractart #watercolour #art #markers
At the moment im rediscovering my sexuality as i have recently discovered some sex toys that work for me. So i thought i would do a painting about my orgasm and i really like how it turned out created with water based markers #markers #watercolour #watercolor #abstractart #painting #queerartist
For this dungeon room I decided to illustrate the key feature, a mural representing an important moment for the cult. Based it on a wall painting from a church in Florence. Tried a sort of reverse palette like the last piece. I find it wonderfully disturbing. #art #markers #illustration #rpg #ttrpg
Opted to experiment with the restrained color palette I adopted for this series and work the warms with only a little bit of the cools. It gets the weird right for the sarcophagus, but not sure if it is a bit too subtle for the eye
It always struck me as odd that the detritus of previous explorers rarely showed up in D&D adventures. Go hiking on trails and you find all sorts of signs of people, some going back decades or more. So I added this room, the Survivor's Camp, to the adventure.

Knocked another one in this series. The Hallowed Halls. Will those statues move if you linger too long?
Absolutely. It's a dungeon room.
Another dungeon view done in marker on 4x6 translucent paper. This is the Red Hall, the entrance to the dungeon. I decided to keep my color palette despite the name. Not sure if that was the right choice.
