В наше время сложно себе представить человека, который носит смартфон с аппаратными кнопками. Всего каких-то 15 лет назад, Nokia E72 считался эталоном быстрой и удобной печати на смартфоне, однако даже он уступил место экранной клавиатуре и Swype. Я с таким положением дел не согласен и продолжаю повседневно пользоваться смартфоном с аппаратной QWERTY-клавиатурой... Но тот гаджет, что я совершенно случайно купил в Китае за 1.500 рублей просто перевернул моё представление о QWERTY-клавиатурах в смартфонах и о таком забытом классе устройств, как коммуникаторы. И да, он действительно выполнен в форм-факторе ноутбука!

Hab' bei #TPLink nach dem Chipsatz für einen 19" #Switch mit 16x SFP+ gefragt (weil ich da gerne evtl. später mal #OpenWrt drauf hätte, insbesondere bei/mit #Realtek / #rtl93xx). Antwort:
"Aufgrund von Sicherheitsbedenken bieten wir unsere Chipsatzlösung nicht öffentlich an."
Okay, wenn DAS das Sicherheitskonzept ist, weiß ich dann ja jetzt, welchen Switch ich schonmal nicht haben will :D.

Still could not get ethernet working on this, it's a bit tricky without a datasheet for the #Marvell #98DX3053B0 SoC. It looks like the #88E1545 switch chip is directly connected via SGMII, not PCI? Though I thought this was Marvell Prestera and would use PCI? Could clean up some of my clock hacks though, using the Kirkwood intended detection mechanisms, could get the correct values and offsets for SAR from the dlink source code
While from the outside they might look similar: A 10 port Gigabit switch, with 802.3af #PoE support and two additional #SFP ports and a 500Mhz CPU. The CPU and switch architecture are actually quite different, B1 is #Marvell #Kirkwood, while the F1 is #Realtek. Also, before it seems this B1 device was running an ancient, rusty 2.6.22 kernel, now I was able to boot a #Linux 6.6 kernel via the #OpenWrt initramfs :D.
