We braved the winter morning chill and headed for Rondevlei to join our local bird club for a spot of birding before the promised big winter storm hits tomorrow morning.

DE: Vor einem sehr hellen Hintergrund ist als Ausschnitt ein noch hellerer Pelikan zu sehen. Abgebildet sind nur der obere Teil des Körpers mit dem Ansatz eines Flügels, der lange Hals und der Kopf mit dem langen Schnabel. Der Bildaufbau ist nahezu diagonal vom linken unteren Bildrand (Körper) zum rechten oberen Bildrand (Kopf). Der lange Hals teilt das Bild beinahe diagonal symmetrisch. Der Kopf ist nach unten geneigt und schaut zum unteren linken Bildrand, wodurch der Schnabel das Bild wiederum diagonal in gleicher Richtung schneidet.

It’s currently 35 °C (supposed to be 38 °C later) in Rome today and I have never related to pigeons more in my life.
