There are so many good ideas in this thread! I'd love to have a functionality to do that. Maybe call them #SmartLists or something to get away with the negative connotations of the algorithm.

I'd love to be able to set up all kinds of automated sorting lists, maybe using #RegEx to create a bunch of different experiences I can dip into based on my mood

I've started to use lists for really prolific accounts (follow, add to list, unfollow). What I've run into is that sometimes when I follow an account and immediately try to add the account to a list, it returns a 404 error. From my research, it seems that sometimes even for accounts without follow request approval, your instance still has to wait for confirmation even if it's automatic. So if I wait a little bit again to add to the list, then it works fine.

Could someone explain to me how to add accounts to a #list here on Mastodon?

I'm using #Tusky if that's relevant, and a desktop browser the rest of the time. Google isn't much help because no one has written about it yet as far as I've seen 😂
