I have another newbie question.

With the change of government in the US looming, do you think it’s best to stay away from it instances based in the US?

I have literally just changed, and I think it’s based in the US, but as a queer person, I don’t know how safe US instance hosting will be.

And also - is it ridiculous to think of moving instances yet again??

One thing I’m really enjoying on #Mastodon is the ability to follow hashtags - and mute hashtags too! Really good for curating the kind of content I want to see (and what I’d rather not).

Is it possible to block an entire … bridge thing? For example bird.makeup.

I’ve noticed a lot of #TERF accounts have bridged using that, and I don’t want to take the chance of seeing their crap.
