how to do something you absolutely do not want to do

Be born at the start of the dissonant millennium.

come of age in unprecedented times or times in which

precedents have lost meaning from having repeated themselves

way too many times. here's the secret. to keep going

in itself is the method to the madness. the process is the product

and the producer is the consumer and the consumer toils

in the factories and the winner is no one, although some might argue

that it is them. it does not matter because they will have it better.

to want to go on is to want to do things you don't want to do

so you can do things you think you want to do. and so on.

there isn't much you can do, other than doing what you

absolutely don't want to do. and so you will. anyway.

there isn't much to it. have a need to be loved. love someone.

want joy. want peace. want anything at all. life, even.

A lightning fork, a dream that’s corked
A splint, a spec, a sigh
A mother’s hug, a father’s shrug
The who, the where, the why

A wish that wakes, a vow that aches
A star, a sun, a sign
A life of thought, a truth that’s caught
The will to write a line
