The devastation is just so visible now, makes me so sad. So many people’s homes and businesses just gone and I imagine the rebuild will take years. Not just because of the number of buildings destroyed–over 2,000–but also because the labor and supplies constraints for a small island. Maui population is what, 60-70,000?
But they are ohana and we will be with them.

It's been nearly two months but the devastation of Lahaina is still heavy on the minds of those of us in Hawaii. The Comic Jan Hawaii drink & draw crew did a Maui Strong themed stream where we drew Maui themed art. This is mine. An image of old Lahaina town was used as reference but I kept the drawing very impressionistic and dropped out vehicles and people. The wahine if just made up.
