On second listening I'm really enjoying the Hungarian prog album I picked up during the week. Nice Moogs and apart from anything else Hungarian is a great language for sounding like some kinda galactic warlord without having to resort to Kobaïan.

For the first time EVER, I'm cranking the first #Genesis album, *From Genesis To Revelation* (1969)
It is really kind of ok, in a neo-psychedelic way. Not what I expected at all.
Cranking it while placing Magrath's skull and all that.
And that #mellotron ... Nice.
I'm in love with the #Mellotron. It's a fantastic invention way ahead of its time, and even if it's unbelievably quirky, it's responsible for much of the sound of the '70s prog rock. I love the use #Genesis made of it, especially in the intro song of Selling England By The Pound (Dancing with the Moonlit Knight - I mean, how many better ways can you find to begin a record?). Played on a bill with Johnny Dowd in Ridgewood tonight (excellent set of mangled country/blues tunes), and I was unreasonably excited about the fact that his keyboard player was playing Mellotron patches. That screechy, nearly out-of-tune flute sound—I'd know it anywhere. #Mellotron
Of course, the #mellotron, but that growl of Fripp's guitar.
Now I look it up, Tomorrow Never Know possibly features a mellotron, so I'll have to downgrade my trivia to "performed on a hit single featuring #mellotron before any of the #beatles
