For today's #SilentSunday, here's a snap shot of one of my favourite sunsets in the south of the island: Meloneras. Calm ocean hitting the coastline rocks gently while the sun sets with the odd clouds here and there. You may also notice how the sky is a bit hazy. That's because when I took this picture we were going through an intense episode of calima (Suspended sand dust from the Sahara Desert) and there was no one around by the coastline at the moment. Making it perhaps a perfect capture for #SilentSunday, don't you think? 😍👍🏻

After that short, work-related, interruption, back to my daily photo blog posting routine ... Here's a snap shot of one of my favourite sunsets in the south of the island: Meloneras.

Love the mix of colours from the intense blue shades of both the sky and the ocean, with the ocre of the coastline and the grey of the small rocks, blending in all nicely while the mighty Atlantic Ocean waves hit gently the shore. Peace & quiet FTW! 🙌🏻😍🙌🏻

I was born and raised up in the mountains of northwestern Spain. I always thought had a thing for the spectacular and abrupt scenery of mountains and valleys blending in nicely in truly breathtaking landscapes. But then, nearly 30 years ago, I discovered the mighty Atlantic Ocean. The rest is history! 😍👍🏻

My fascination with the mighty ocean has never stopped to the point where it's a rather rare occasion I don't get to see it in my daily life. And when it does, i.e. when I am not around, I miss it dearly.

Here's a gorgeous landscape snap shot of Meloneras' coastline at sunset with a sharp contrast between the green vegetation and the intense blue colours of both the ocean and the sky mingling together. In November, with a balmy 24C 😎👍🏻

You see why this is my favourite season of the year in the island? Here's a snap shot of an spectacular sunset at Meloneras beach on a usual late November fall day with the odd clouds here and there to add a bit of drama, tons of sunshine, people flaneuring on the beach, enjoying the last rays of sun an warmth and in the horizon Pasito Blanco and, of course, a golf course, because, why not, right?

Oooh, and did you spot the number of boats blending in with the golden hour and the intense blue of the ocean? 😍👍🏻

This is one of the several reasons why I can no longer be too far away from the mighty Atlantic Ocean. I was born and raised up in the mountains, but the moment I discovered the Atlantic, my fascination with the ocean waves did the rest. Here's a snap shot from November 2018 in Meloneras where you can see the ocre coastline blending in nicely with the intense blues of both the ocean and the sky. And then, in the far distance, a boat sailing away is defining the whole concept of pure bliss: away from the maddening crowds enjoying a bit of peace and quiet, the solitude of the mighty Atlantic Ocean. Where do I sign up, please? 👌🏻😍

This is an old snap shot I took back in 2018, but every time I check it out I just *love* the tranquility it emanates all over. The almighty Atlantic Ocean with an intense blue colour blending in nicely with the softer blue of the sky, the abrupt coastline with a lush of green inviting to enjoy the contrast of sharp colours and right in the middle of it a little bit of a surprise ... Can you spot the surfer? Yeah, that's what I meant with tranquility, the majestic Atlantic ocean and one self enjoying the surfing over calm waters sliding through ... 😍👍🏻

One would like to think this is a natural landscape, close enough to the ocean, in the south of the island, i.e. in Meloneras, but it isn't. It's a golf course (Lopesan Meloneras Golf) showing off all of is green lush with plenty of palm trees in the horizon and bushes all around up front of the snap shot. With the intensity of the sky's blue colour, it almost fits the description of a computer wallpaper 😜

Here is a snap shot of the majestic and mighty Atlantic Ocean I took a couple of years back, while walking along the Meloneras coastline during a glorious winter day. Lots of blue colours, i.e. the sky & the ocean, with the odd rocks here and there, all by myself. No wonder this is my favourite time of the year 🥰👍🏻 heh

Here in the island, we are on the brink of starting off my favourite season of the year: the #EternalSpring. From October to June, milder temperatures (Around 23C to 35C), plenty of blue skies, a gentle ocean hitting the Meloneras beach and not many people, as they scatter themselves around the long beach. In this snap shot, you can also see, in the right side, Meloneras shopping centre for the odd nibble here and there and of course the appropriate drink ☀️🌴🍹😎👍🏻 and in the far back, for those who may be into it, a golf course ⛳️🏌

I just can't wait for the season to start! 🥰👍🏻

Ahhh ... Pure bliss! 😍👍🏻 Once again, musing about one of my favourite sunsets in the south of the island: Meloneras. This time around walking along the boulevard, minding my own thoughts, watching the gentle ocean waves hitting the rocks along the coastline and with a 5 star hotel that resembles a small village with lots of palm trees all around witnessing the stunning sunset. Day in, day out. Like I said, pure bliss 🥰👍🏻

I think I have mentioned this before in the past, but Meloneras sunset, along the coastline, is one of my favourite pastimes 😍👍🏻 The soothing ocean waves hitting the rocks, the odd patches of volcanic sand here and there, the different shades of blue (the sky & the ocean itself), the peace & quiet, you and your own thoughts. As good as it gets, away from the sheer madness. Pure bliss 🥰👍🏻

It's been a little while since I have last visited Meloneras, but this is *definitely* one of my favourite spots from the stunning boulevard to watch the sunset while the ocean waves hit the rocks and the beach, people are walking out and about, a chain of hotels in the horizon and, of course, lots of palm trees all around. I can't think of better spots to have some peace and quiet in the south of the island, specially, during this time of the year 😍👍🏻

This is perhaps one of my favourite spots, in the south of the island, for some pretty stunning sunsets along the Meloneras coastline. I can stay there for hours no end watching the gentle ocean waves hit the golden sand beach and the rocks. This time around perhaps even more soothing and calming with all of the small boats in the horizon watching the passing of time as if nothing else exists in the world. Pure bliss 😍👍🏻

Casually waiting for the sun to set on a small staircase, a typical winter day at Meloneras, with blue skies all around, the ocean waves hitting the coastline and a boulevard to walk on for miles and miles and miles.
