Sono ad Abano terme per staccare.
Girovagando ho trovato una splendida piazza in cui è stata realizzata una meridiana solare bellissima.
Qualcuno conosce la sua storia? È stata realizzata assieme ai condomini che la circondano, e le tolgono il sole.
Da una sommaria e rapida misurazione mi risulta che il sole debba avere un'altezza superiore a ~30° per proiettare ombra dallo gnomone.

Meridiana. This image shows a sundial with Roman numerals indicating the hours. Below the numerals, there's an Italian inscription: "Fugge il tempo col sol fugge la vita, la ben oprar l'ora in fugge c'invita," which translates to "Time flies with the sun, life flees. The hour invites us to do good while it flies."
