After extensively listening to Angine de Poitrine, I can't listen to normal music anymore. They use custom microtonal guitars (24edo), and so they hit notes that normal guitars don't. Couple that with ingenious ways to make their jumps from 4/4 to 6/12/etc and still sounding harmonic, you just can't go back to plain 4/4 pop/rock music. It's too boring.

Masters of their craft. They're the future of music.

Last composition of the year turns out to be a salvage job: after recording in various tempi, I couldn't make them fit together, and normalized to 90 bpm. I also had to throw out my strongest theme, so we have a mood piece instead. And it's #microtonal and #justIntonation as well, if the initial multi-tempo plan hadn't been complex enough. If you haven't checked out Maddie Ashman yet I could really recommend it! "Avant-pop" (her description) with Microtonal harmonies (JI).

For me it kind of reconnected me with my pre-sickness JI interest, but packaged in these beutiful songs , that I could more "easier" take in (Oh, I hate that term, but hope you bear with me for using it, since Ive havent been able to listen to much music/sounds at all these 5-6 years).
