I painted up another little #orc. Pictured here alongside the one I did yesterday. I tried drawing an icon on yesterday's orc’s shield with some Sharpie creative markers that I just got. I grabbed the fine tips hoping that they would be good for this kind of work, but I'm a little ambivalent about it. I might try this kind of thing with a brush next time to compare. I still have a great use case for those markers so I'm not upset, but not sure if I will use it for this kind of thing going forward.

Wondering if any makers know of a slightly thicker liquid paint on mask than something like Vallejo. I need it to paint over a flat surface (think stained glass but made out of laser cut acrylic) without seeping into the minuscule crevasses between the inlay and outline. Today I tried painting it on upside down and waiting with the mask on the brush a little longer for it to be less fluid. But a thicker masking liquid from the get go would be ideal. #maker #miniatures #ModelPainting

Not every #TrenchCrusade #miniatures is amazing. This is a Butcher Knight from their latest subfaction, the Great Hunger. I had to stare at this unit for quite a while, I didn’t know what I was looking at.

Figured it out after a while, three mushed heads and a big maw on the shoulder. Also has earthworms coming out of its flesh because it’s been in the ground for months. And let’s add a couple corpses on the back, because reasons.

Fortunately the rest of the subfaction units look much better.

My first Battletech Sourcebook was the Battletech Master Rules, I read that book until the spine came apart. And one of the color pages with a Hankyu embedded itself in my mind.

But the current Hankyu mini looks nothing like the original. It doesn't even have the battle apron. So I got out Blender and made my own. It's a mix of the original mini, the 3058 artwork, the Invading Clans art.

But after all that effort, the paintjob isn't the best. Did it in a rush.
