Patriarchy is a system for advantaging men at women's expense. As such, it will weaponize every tool it can--including, when convenient, feminist discourse.

That's why so many misogynists now claim to be feminists.

It's why we must always pay attention not to a person's words, but to the impact of their words and behavior.

It's also why it's so important to ensure that our own feminist rhetoric does not leave room to abuse women for being, thinking, feeling, or choosing incorrectly.

We can argue without abuse.

We can correct false notions while honoring a person's human dignity.

But as soon as we create a class of human who is worthy of abuse, we replicate misogynist (and white supremacist, and ableist, and etc) tropes.
