#3DPrinting I've finished (🤞) tweaking the design of the clips (brackets?) to hold the #MoErgo #Glove80 in place on my desk with it's chamfered curve.
They work really well. You just lift the keyboard halves out, and set them aside when you want more desk space.
It took a number of attempts to get here...
Finally bit the bullet and purchased my first ergonomic split keyboard. Opted for the #MoErgo #Glove80 keyboard and I'm excited for it to come in.
I do a lot of typing for work and now I'm studying for #ACAMS, so I'm doing even more typing for note taking after work.
...I also like shiny and I've definitely been eyeing split keyboards for years. 🙃
I also figured out how to map a custom copy (tap) and paste (long press) button on my Glove80, and now I need an entirely new kind of Astro sticker sheet I think! #Glove80 #MoErgo

My #MoErgo #Glove80 came today. I instantly replaced the wired kinesis that I was using as a backup, swapped _most_ of the keys for black ones, and started generating a custom keymap.
EVERYTHING about the process was nicer than the #Kinesis #Advantage360 pro.
Now that I’ve got my custom keymap set up switching to it is surprisingly painless. AND I have more keys so i don't have to do stupid stuff with the escape key.
Although, it doesn't come with a capslock key cap which is...weird.

my "n" key has stopped working.
Fortunately i keep old keyboards so I've switched back to the advantage 2.
It's still under warranty, and I'll get it fixed, but this is the straw that broke this camel's back. I'm ordering a #Moergo Glove80

Definitely! There are many #Linux users on the #MoErgo Discord community.
#Glove80 doesn't use special drivers or dongles, it's just USB HID spec compliant over either USB or BLE.
If you're wondering about how configuring the keymap works: there's a vendor-hosted webapp which spits out the firmware file. Installing that is just like putting the file on a USB stick. (Alternatively, you can build the #ZMK-based firmware yourself.)

Regarding #MoErgo's own shop: they said they have stock, but didn't yet get around to loading it into the shop system & setting up the fulfillment warehouse. For some strange reason they seem to concentrate on shipping the keyboards. 🙃

Personally, I was a backer of the #Glove80 kickstarter campaign and we got a decent discount; on the other hand I ordered a bunch of add-ons. So my price is not comparable.
