thinking of installing postmarketOS on my fairphone 5 (since it's only my 'backup' rather than my main (that's a pixel 8 w/ grapheneOS) there's isn't too much at risk).

but I've never done anything like this on a phone (the pixel 8 came with graphene pre-installed). anyone got any experience with this or any tips? ​:neogob_think:​

Thank you @furilabs team for making a phone with good battery life. Just did a 75 minute workout on my indoor bike and logged it all with the #FLX1 Only lost just shy of 20% while connected via bluetooth to my earbuds, heart rate strap, indoor bike. Playing music in gapless, browsing the web in firefox and jotting down notes, processing the hr/bike ble packets and displaying them in my workout app. Great not having "range anxiety" on #mobilelinux hope more devices follow

This was a very straightforward installation!

And Ubuntu Touch works *very* nicely on a Google Pixel 3a XL. I am rather impressed.

My plan for it is quite limited - essentially, a mobile terminal - but it should be fun to experiment with it all the same.

I also have a Xiomi Poco X3 to try at some point, but I, erm, seemingly damaged the charging port by connecting it to the charger I use normally for a phone. I will try to fix it all the same.

Ich habe ein #Smartphone, aber aus guten Gründen kein Android oder iOS, sondern #Mobian, also #MobileLinux im #Debian-Flavour. Ich nutze es nur sehr selten, eher den PC.

D.h. die allermeisten Apps (Bahnnavigator, Banking, Dating, Fahrradverleih, InstaTok, Krankenkasse, Signal, Sportclub, Uber, Whatsapp usw.) kenne ich nur vom Hörensagen. Hat mich bislang nicht gestört 🙂
