Der Grabstein der kurz nach der Geburt verstorbenen Söhne von , den wir 2018 in Elim (Südafrika) auf dem Gottesacker freigelegt hatten, ist jetzt auch im Internet zu sehen.

Das Foto zeigt den Grabstein für Alfred August Miertsching, der nur zwei Tage alt wurde, und seines ungetauften Zwillings, der gleich nach der Geburt starb.

Is it possible that the Christmas tree tradition started even earlier, in ( ) with the Mission Station in , founded already 1771 – a full ten years before the claim by the town of Sorel, Quebec ? The Moravian archival records, as they mostly are in German language, have not yet been fully explored in this respect.

Im September vor 174 Jahren besuchte der Oberlausitzer Sorbe Johann August die Missionsstation Hebron, (/Labrador), bevor er in die Heimat zurückkehrte. Nur kurze Zeit später fuhr er als Inuktitut-Übersetzer auf , um an der Suche nach der verschwundenen teilzunehmen.

Die Herrnhuter Missionsstation Hebron im arktischen Labrador wurde zwar 1959 aufgegeben, das Gebäude blieb jedoch erhalten und wird von den Inuit schrittweise restauriert.

Een mooi voorbeeld van hoe je de wereld wat mooier kunt maken.

Agnes Kasparkova maakte van haar dorpje in de Tsjechische Republiek een soort van kunstgalerie. Met een kleine kwast en blauwe verf maakte ze van de witte eenvoudige panden prachtige kunstwerkjes. Ze heeft dit gedaan tot haar 94e. Ze is in 2022 overleden.

There is a mostly unknown connection between British maritime history in 19th century ( etc.) and Germany - in person of Johann August , Inuktitut interpreter for the Royal Navy 1850-54. Prior to this, he served a missionary and teacher in (=#Nunatsiavut, in today's Canada), then a British colony.
