It's still, just about, the 1st of May. Big day for morris dancers, and sees the back of "autism awareness month" when we spend the entire time avoiding "I love someone with autism" posts...so, seems a good time to share this!

After *several* months of getting it together, you can finally see Changeling Morris dance "Much Wenlock (variations on a theme)", and learn how the project came together.

The 2025 Gilbertsville Morris Tour is over and I came back with a big smile. The weather sucked but it didn't interfere other than to move two stands indoors. The new lunch venue and new beer venue both worked out very well. Everything went so smoothly I could almost forget about running things and just enjoy the great company and good dancing.

Decent dance out tonight, though I brought two sets of pipes with me and played neither of them! Still, good to mark St George’s Day (a day late admittedly) in place of practice.
First @RedCuthbert pub night of the year, if I’m not mistaken… and we have to wait a whole two days to our next event (same excuse) on Saturday, then the same again next Thursday to celebrate May Day :-)

A week from tonight we return to the Major's Inn in Gilbertsville, NY. A week from tomorrow we dance out there and in Edmeston and Cooperstown. A week from Sunday we dance in Gilbertsville again, and then the whole shebang's over for this year. And we can start panicking over planning for the #AmericanTravellingMorrice.
