On this shawl, the knitting has continued to such an extent that I now have to work out the chart for the border section. Because of Christmas, I’ve got some days off work, so perhaps I’ll get round to finishing that chart 😄

I made this pattern from a random mosaic generator, then edited more out of the motif. After finding out how to do increases, it turned out very pretty, as you can see.

This morning I got it out to take a closer look at those loose stitches in this project. And, indeed! It was just a matter of working the stitches back up with a crochet hook 😃

With this project, I wanted to work on it while watching a movie this past week. And that’s when I saw those 2 loose stitches. I suspected I knit through the fluff of the thread, and not through the body of it. Easy enough to fix, but not without daylight! 😃

As you know, with mosaic knitting, you basically work stripes, and strategically placed slip stitches create the patterning you see. I know, that I'm always curious to see how the wrong side of the fabric looks like. So, here it is! 😃

The mosaic shawl is growing! In the picture above, there are almost 3 repeats of the body patterning completed. The balls of yarn have not shrunk significantly, so I haven't started weighing them yet 😃

I have CO my new mosaic shawl, again. As you can see, I also changed the yarn color for the garter tab cast-on. I think it fits the patterning better this way. Fortunately, after this it worked out how I charted it! 😃

Most folks want me to make a mosaic design with the yellow and petrol yarn! The last few weeks I was on Summer holiday in Sweden, so I didn’t have my usual design software available. So, I worked out the patterning the old fashioned way, on paper. Here you can see my view while working on this design in one of the cottages we rented 😃
