#Today Husband and I went to the easiest of our local mountain bike trails (I love that park; it's where I learned to ride!) and did two laps around the main trail. It was really nice outside, and tonight it's supposed to start raining and not stop for several days.

I started a new watercolour painting on a piece of the handmade cotton paper that MIL gave me as a birthday present, and I am really enjoying its texture.

And then, because it's Monday, we went bowling. It was fun, as usual, even if we both were terribly inconsistent and didn't score very well.

I've picked out my workout and my workout clothes for tomorrow. The coffee is set up for the morning, too. The painting will continue, and I may pick up a lettering commission from my cousin? Need to talk with him further and figure out what he wants/needs.

After a day in the office I convinced myself to do a workout loop.

First half warmup, second half full speed. (next time I know how to use the lap-feature so that I know the difference between warmup and full 😉)

Husband and I went to ride our bikes at Fountainhead, which is the most challenging of our local trails. It's a one-way stacked loop system, so you have to decide partway around the first loop (green) if you want to commit to the second (blue). Same thing for the third (black) which I've never ridden.

At the crossover point, we decided that no, there was no way we'd survive the switchback climbs of the blue trail. Even though the green loop is only two miles around, we were both okay with being done at the end of it, so we went home.

...and then we went for a 1.5 mile run, because why not.

Took the #cargobike on a little mountainbike-ish tour today. Though it was certainly not designed to be an off-road vehicle, you can tell its manufacturer #NicolaiBikes has a history in making some of the most rigid downhill mountain bikes. Taking it to gravel roads as well as some moderately gnarly single trails was great fun.

(I also saw a tawny #owl [Strix aluco] - will post some photos later today!) :awesome:
