A gilded copper and silver reliquary stand about half a meter tall and with floral designs all over the square base. On the stand, at center, is an egg-shaped chunk of glass with a small cavity in its center containing a tooth. On either side of the glass are two towers supporting, above the glass, a roundel with a depiction of the crucifixion. At the very top is a small crystal cross.

🪔 #OnThisDay Birth of Lucius Verus (130 CE), who'd become Rome's first true co-emperor with Marcus Aurelius. He oversaw successful Parthian campaigns, extending Rome's eastern frontier beyond the Euphrates.
Known for competence and luxury alike, he died in 169 CE returning from the Marcomannic Wars.
