 Peter Tosh was a Jamaican reggae musician and songwriter, best known for his work with The Wailers. He was born on October 19, 1942, in Kingston, Jamaica, and died on September 11, 1987, at the age of 42. Tosh began his career as a singer in the late 1960s, performing with The Wailers along with Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer. He was a key figure in the development of reggae music, known for his socially conscious lyrics and distinctive vocal style. Tosh's solo career saw him release several albums, including "Equal Rights" in 1977 and "No Nuclear War" in 1982. He also appeared as an actor in the film "Underneath the Arches" in 1984. Throughout his life, Tosh was known for his outspoken political views and his advocacy of marijuana legalization.
