Between the Buried and Me Release Deluxe Edition of “The Blue Nowhere” Featuring Bonus Track & Instrumentals

Between the Buried and Me, who released their highly anticipated new album The Blue Nowhere in September via InsideOutMusic, have issued an expanded version of the collection with today’s release of The Blue Nowhere (Deluxe Edition), which features the bonus track “Overture,” and instrumental versions of the album’s original 10 tracks. “‘Overture’ was initially written to lead the album, winding through musical themes from all of the songs in a way that referenced the direct part or the idea of it to make something new and that would flow right into ‘Things We Tell Ourselves in the Dark,” Dan Briggs explains. “It starts by quoting the early guitar arpeggiation from the song ‘The Blue Nowhere’ on piano – which was fortuitous not knowing the song would actually become the title track of the album! In the studio, we decided it would be refreshing to slam right into ‘Things…” and tossed the song aside, and then when we were building the string/noise buildup at the end of ‘Beautifully Human,’ [producer] Jamie King actually sped up the entire ‘Overture’ track to be layered in for the crescendo before the piano and vocals coda for the album. Thankfully, InsideOutMusic also had the idea to have the track included at the end of the deluxe edition of the album – and the humor of the album ending on an overture is not lost on us! Everyone just dig in and stay jamming.”

The Blue Nowhere has been hailed by Consequence as “another mind-bending prog metal journey,” with Revolver noting the band’s music is as “complex as ever,” and Loudwire praising the album as “another characteristically compelling and eccentric record,” from the genre-defying architects of modern progressive metal. SÉBASTIEN TELLIER SINGLE “THRILL OF THE NIGHT” FEAT. SLAYYYTER & NILE RODGERS OUT, ALBUM KISS THE BEAST OUT JANUARY 2026

An essential figure of the French Touch movement, Sébastien Tellier opens a new chapter in his career with the announcement of his new studio album, Kiss The Beast.

After the introspective ballad “Naïf de Cœur”, Tellier continues his exploration of the Kiss The Beast universe with “Thrill Of The Night”, a disco track with a distinctly French touch, created in collaboration with pop disruptor Slayyyter and the legendary Nile Rodgers on guitar. Produced by Oscar Holter (The Weeknd, Katy Perry etc.) and SebastiAn, “Thrill Of The Night” is a song rooted in sharing and celebration.

Thrill Of The Night was made “with the desire to relive those club years: the dream of the night as we like to imagine it, filled with freedom and festive excitement. Everything becomes possible, nothing is unthinkable,” Tellier explains.

“I was looking for a female voice, and the American singer Slayyyter perfectly met the technical demands of the song. She brought a very Studio 54 tone to it – and so did Nile Rodgers, whose joyful guitar playing was ideal here. It was a dream to have him on this track!” he concludes.

“I have always been a huge fan of Sebastian Tellier and Nile Rodgers, so to be on this song is such an honor. I went to Paris last year and recorded the song at Motorbass studios with Sebastian Tellier and SebastiAn which was such a dream come true, both have influenced my own music so much and were such a pleasure to work with. To create and record in such an iconic space with people I admire felt very full circle. A year later I came back to Paris to shoot the music video, and I’m so happy for it to be out in the world.” Slayyyter adds.

Their name carries weight. The jaguar, a sacred symbol in local mythology, represents power, protection, and the ability to walk between worlds. It’s a fitting emblem for a band that blends tradition with thunder. And yes, there’s a nod to the Japanese cult hero Jet Jaguar, who is a kaiju-fighting machine with a heart of gold and fists of steel. That fusion of myth and pop culture mirrors the band’s own blend of classic metal spirit and modern fire.
