@dankeykang well the Idea of the #NeoFloppy is that of a universal and flexible #SSD in the form factor of a 3,5" FDD so there's ample of space for chips whilst inheriting a proven design with certain "idiot-proofing" compared to others.
I sadly didn't have access to such surplus'd equipment and the best I got my hands on was n #LTO-2 drive with external #SCSI which is absolutely obsolete given that new SSDs are bigger and cheaper per capacity than any genuine LTO-2 tape still sold new in box.

As for the #NeoFloppy that thing could be made - I'm just not good enough layouting PCBs with the precision needed for #PCIe signalling...
That being said, it's inevitable that even WORM as a feature may be copied over.
Until there are #COTS solutions tho, LTO #Tape and other options will OFC remain dominant and relevant.

Call me weird but I am convinced something like the NeoFloppy will be more groundbreaking than the ArchivalDisc or any multi-layer optical media as a compromise to cost, scalability, convenience and useability.
Shure, for WORM (Write - Once Read - Many) Archival Storage this will be a net benefit given Tape Drive systems like LTO wear out and there needs to be a higher storage capacity than that of M-DISC media.
