🕊✨
Between light and shadow, a divine story unfolds on the skin.
This is more than a tattoo—it’s a visual hymn to creation, fall, and redemption.
Inspired by sacred art and mythic imagery, each inch of skin becomes a canvas for cosmic narrative.

The “Vondelpark Pavilion” is a historic building in “Het Vondelpark”, built between 1️⃣8️⃣7️⃣4️⃣ and 1️⃣8️⃣8️⃣1️⃣ the neo-Renaissance styled design came from architect Willem Hamer. It features Ionic columns, arched windows, and domed towers. 🏛️

Initially a café-restaurant, it was expanded in 1890 with a bowling alley. 🎳 In the 50s, it hosted “Holland Festival”. From 1972 to 2012 it housed the “Dutch Film Museum”, it reopened as “VondelCS” in 14, and housed a restaurant after that. The site now serves as an event space. 🎪🎭

Every time I see the Federal Administrative Court in Leipzig, I sense its historical significance. The building's architecture, blending Neo-Renaissance and Baroque styles, reflects its rich history since 1895. The magnificent dome and detailed facades symbolize stability and tradition amidst changing times.

We usually look down and scroll our smart phones but THIS is what you can discover next time you look up instead :)

This is a picture of the main entrance to Birger Jarlspassagen, Stockholm's oldest shopping arcade.
I was waiting for a friend to join me for lunch and - luckily - looked up as opposed to what I usually do to kill time (checking my phone).

It’s a pity I only took this one picture, after reading more about the place I realised I just NEED to go back and take some more photos to share here.
The arcade - I Googled - was inaugurated in 1897 during King Oscar II's reign and it is inspired by Berlin's Kaisergalerie and the Burlington Arcade in London.
The passage embodies late 19th-century European architectural styles of neo-renaissance and romanesque elements - this is new knowledge to me and if you are an expert in this place or style, feel free to add photos or comments!
Anyway, I thought it’s a rare treasure and worth sharing here if you are interested in architecture and/or historical styles!
Btw, there’s great shopping in there as well, although not the primary topic of my feeds here :) #neorenaissance #romanesquerevivalstyle #stockholm

The building known as the Robert Koch House was built in the New Renaissance style for the police administration in royal Prussian Wilhelmshaven. It was formerly the seat of the district administrator and housed the health department from 1950 to 1998.
The building was named after the doctor and founder of bacteriology Robert Koch (1843-1910), who worked in Wilhelmshaven for a short time.

The Ostfriesische Landschaft building in Aurich (East Frisia/Lower Saxony) was built between 1898 and 1901 in the Neo-Renaissance style. The Ostfriesische Landschaft is the successor to the Ostfriesische Landstände (the political representatives of the estates). Until the 19th century, it was endowed with far-reaching political rights. Since then, the Ostfriesische Landschaft has developed from an estates parliament into a regional cultural parliament.

Drachenburg Castle above Königswinter (Rhine-Sieg district / North Rhine-Westphalia) was built from 1882 to 1884 in the historicist neo-Gothic and neo-Renaissance styles for a financial expert who was later elevated to the nobility.

Budapeszt.

Budapest. A beautiful city with remarkable architecture. Most of the buildings were built in Neoclassical (Neo-Romanesque, Neo-Gothic, Neo-Renaissance, Neo-Baroque, Neoclassicism), Rococo styles. You can also find modern architecture of the 20th century.

What I don't like is the fact that the buildings destroyed during World War I were rebuilt using non-original building materials, such as concrete. One building was built with bricks when its predecessor was built with stone. Such actions should be banned **in the reconstruction** of historical buildings. Orban can do anything along with the Fidesz majority.

Another fact is the reconstruction of already existing buildings in Hungary's millennium year. Apparently, the Hungarians have it in their blood to modify already historic buildings. Orginal matter has not survived to this day. The fact is that most of these buildings are still used today.
