Take Care and Control is probably the last really good Di6 album? Since it was released in 1998, I have kind of lost hope of anything more on this level.

Albin Julius had a lot of impact on the material, with some really great, bombastic martial industrial songs. I think it works very well mixed with more classic sounding Di6 songs like Kameradschaft.

Blood Axis - Born Again

When times are tough, it always helps to play some Blood Axis, I think.

I like everything they've done, but this is probably the most "professionally" done album. Only original written music this time (I guess the stuff written by Bobby BeauSoleil was written for this album), while the lyrics are mostly taken from elsewhere, like Ovid, old poems, etc.

Very good, and I wonder if there ever will be more Blood Axis.

Fire + Ice is one of those artists I can listen to at any time, regardless of how tired or sick I am, always sounding deeply calming. The project feels so detached from most other music – including other neofolk.

This is also a special release in his discography, namely Ian Reads "master-work of Lore for the Rune-Gild". That is, he became a Rune Master.

A bit more demanding than his other releases, but very rewarding with enough focus.
