I can't count May as a huge success nerdstuff-wise, but I'm getting back into the swing of things now.

Well, I think this is the first time since I started that I've gone basically a whole month without posting.
But it felt wrong not do something for the end of the month. Everything - and I do mean every little thing - is in flux right now, and while I'm grateful that the surprises are mainly positive in nature these days, I could use a slow down.

Taking a look back at what I did - and mostly, what I didn't do, during the month of April. It wasn't an easy month in any way, and my recap reflects that for sure.

Nothing new in this months goal setting - just keeping it simple in hopes of actually getting back on top of everything.

After a couple of lackluster months, Humble has hit it out of the park with the April bundle. From indie darlings to big name franchises, there is going to be something here for most gamers. Well done!

I was super unfocused during March, but I managed to knock out a few goals at least.

The end of March snuck up on me a bit - but it's goal setting time again.

It's time to look at March's Humble Choice, and I should probably tell you that no one - not even me - volunteered to play any of these games this month.

That's February done with, and while I was really good at puzzles and cross-stitch, I didn't manage to do much else that was on my list this month.

I haven't been too focused during the first couple of months of 2025, so I'm mostly sticking to "more of the same "style goals for March.

Part two of my Next Fest coverage includes my thoughts on the following demos: Among the Whispers: Provocation, The Deadly Path, Rail Gods of Hysterra, Deck of Haunts, Anoxia Station, Do No Harm, Grimshire, and the Horror at Highrook.

I didn't write a whole lot during January (sorry, friends!) but that doesn't mean I didn't do *anything* all month long. I met more of my goals that I thought I had, and built up some good routines to start the year.

I don't know what I'm doing anymore, but I can still do my monthly goal setting while I figure it out!

Goodbye, 2024. I won't miss you. But today I will look back on what I was playing, reading, watching, and spending in December.

New Year, every so slightly new format. I always feel a bit ridiculous setting leisure time goals, but then again, I do love me some scheduling and structure.

December's Humble Choice was an odd assortment, but there are some really great titles here, albeit maybe ones you've never heard of.

I took a quick look at Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand as part of this month's Humble Choice. I was actually surprised I liked it as much as I did, and it managed to keep me invested for a couple hours.
