Y'all, today was a surprise #NewPenDay! My Pine Green Lamy 2000 arrived much earlier than I expected! Woo!

#NewPenDay finally came. My first Ebonite and Urushi #FountainPen

Inky hands again for #NewPenDay — the beautiful Kaweco Student, first designed in the 1920s and popularised in the 1960s.

The feed seems super tight though. I had to water my Jacques Herbin Emeraude de Chivor down a ton to get it to write well and it's still not perfect 🤔

Hier kam ein liebevoll verpacktes Paket mit neuen Schreibwaren an. Auch wenn ich sehr gerne mit Füller schreibe, ist das auf der Arbeit in der Klinik nicht immer möglich. Als ich den Lumos Pro Duo von Tom's Studio hier im Fediverse gesehen habe, wollte ich ihn unbedingt ausprobieren. Man kann seine eigene Tinte einfüllen und ihn immer wieder nachfüllen, statt leere Stifte wegschmeißen zu müssen. Ich bin gespannt, wie er sich im Alltag bewährt.

Ich bin dem Rat auf der Karte gefolgt, habe mir einen Popcorn Tee gekocht und dann den neuen Stift ausprobiert. Der Tee ist wirklich lecker und der Stift macht auch Spaß. An die Brush Tip muss ich mich noch gewöhnen (oder durch eine der anderen Tips austauschen), die andere Seite funktioniert schon großartig. Etwas merkwürdig finde ich, dass es anscheinend keine zweite Kappe gibt, auch nicht zum einzeln nachkaufen. Zum Aufbewahren muss man den Stift hintereinander stecken.

We ordered a fountain pen and some inks and they arrived today

We bought a TWSBI Eco with a medium nib, a bottle of Dominant Industry Leaf Green and one of Diamine Ancient copper that we haven't tried yet because all our pens are inked

I love it, it's so smooth, and there's so much shading with this ink (but we weren't expecting to have to screw the cap, we're so gonna pull it a little to hard some day)

Not sure how well the colors look like they do in the picture, though.

Picture of the "twisbi" eco. The cap and the other end are green, the nib and the clip are black, and most of the pen is transparent, so we can see the ink inside.

Writing sample with the Dominant Industry Leaf Green ink (with the name of the pen and of the ink, an English pangram, and a French one). There is a moderate-to-high amount of shading (probably, we're still new to fountain pens), meaning that the dark parts of the word (where there was more ink) is much darker than the light parts. The ink is overall dark green.
