Unsere erste Runde #NewYorkZoo von Uwe Rosenberg lief anfangs etwas holprig wegen vergessener Bonus-Vermehrung und anderer Kleinigkeiten, dennoch hatten wir viel Spaß und @Vstrickt meinte direkt: "Das ist cool, das darf bleiben!"
Ich find's wirklich cool, aber ich bin auch großer Fan von Rosenberg Spielen.

Eine Runde #NewYorkZoo mit der Tochter… wir haben die Kurzvariante gespielt, bei der man ein paar der größeren Teile schon am Anfang legt. Damit ist die Dauer für die 6-Jährige auch ok. Sie fragt jetzt immer eher nach meinen Spielen, wenn sie mal was spielen mag, anstatt ihrer Kinderspiele. Ist mir recht… 😀 #brettspiele @brettspiele

@emmahunneyball I've been trying to get my family to play it for years. My husband and I played a 2 player variant we had found online years ago, but since then it's just sat on a shelf.

I'm trying to get my kids into it, but they always choose other games on games night over it (the favourites are #NewYorkZoo , #QuacksOfQuedlinberg , #Munchkin , #Diamant and #DungeonMadness at the moment)

I know #Catan has its drawbacks, but even when I lost, I still found it fun 😊

Yesterday’s #BoardGames included two attempts at #WelcomeToTheMoon adventure 7, which felt simpler than previous ones but my opponent system errored out leaving us with very low scores in both games - we thought we’d do better second time but although the game went on longer the scores were much the same.

It was nice to get two ties though! At #NewYorkZoo we both filled our zoos up on the same action. And at #Clever4Ever we tied too - though both pretty awful “room for improvement” scores.

Putzige Tiermeeple, die sich auf den einzelnen Puzzleteilen vermehren. Bei #NewYorkZoo versuchen wir zuerst unseren Spielplan komplett zu füllen, um damit das Spiel zu gewinnen. Im Kern ein recht einfacher Rosenberg, der aber für meinen Geschmack zu kleinteilig ist, so dass die Platzierung der Tiere bei mir bis Spielende nicht intuitiv ablief. Da gibt es im Portfolio des Autors für meinen Geschmack weitaus bessere Plättchenlegespiele. @brettspiele #Brettspiele

Friday night is #BoardGames night! (Or it will be when it gets to night). We’re playing #Cascadia #Parks and #NewYorkZoo this week with #6Nimmt on hand if needed (it will be).

This was fun! A bit of #soloRPG fictional city building and #maps drawing with #ExNovo

I borrowed meeples from #NewYorkZoo and created a story about the animals breaking out of the zoo to found their own city Penelopetown ruled by the eponymous Emperor Penguin who led the escape. They found a lovely spot and marketed artisanal smoked fish from a river-y paradise for a while… until they ended up building a wall to protect themselves. Yup, they built their own city but it ended up being a zoo.

I’m starting to plan our nature themed board game night which will happen in a couple of weeks. We’ll start with Cascadia and Parks but they’re both fairly short so we’ll probably have time for New York Zoo too.

I’d love us to play Ark Nova but we won’t have time to teach it and play it.

The games I’ve considered so far are fairly light so maybe Honey Buzz will fit as a heavier option.

Erste Solo-Versuche mit #NewYorkZoo. 2x verloren, aber immerhin verbessert (von 7 leeren Feldern auf nur 1 leeres Feld). Bereit für einen Mehrspieler-Versuch. Mal versuchen, die Familie zu motivieren. #brettspiele

Our local #BarnesAndNoble store had a sale on ALL #boardgames. They were 50% off. @babytoolkit and our son, Ranger, picked up #TheCrewMissionDeepSea, #Wingspan, #TicketToRide, #NewYorkZoo, #TheGameOfWolf, #Azul, and #MonsDRAWsity.

The more I play #NewYorkZoo the more creepy it seems that the game revolves around filling animal pens to overcrowding and then shipping the animals off and being able to build other attractions for the zoo like um… a hot dog stand? 🤔

This has replaced my initial unease about the mechanic where if one pen of animals breed then another pen of animals also work out how babies are made which now seems pretty natural in comparison.

Gestern gab es zwei Partien #IndianSummer 🍂🧩 Die Erste habe ich relativ klar gewonnen, die Zweite entschied der Tiebreaker leider gegen mich.

Auch wenn der Kern bei den Genres von #UweRosenberg immer der gleiche ist spielt man gefühlt immer ein anderes Spiel. Wo #CottageGarden 💐🧩 eher taktisch ist, spielt es sich hier eher strategisch & man macht mehr. Aus meiner Sicht gedanklich 💭 sogar seichter als #Patchwork 🧵🧩. Das Familienspiel hier ist für mich #NewYorkZoo 🐘🧩

#SpringMeadow fehlt noch.

Wir haben nach 2 Wochen mal wieder gespielt & zwar #CottageGarden 💐🧩
Hat Spaß gemacht, ist ein tolles Spiel 😊 Als Familienspiel mit Kindern halte ich aber #NewYorkZoo 🐘 für das bessere Spiel, da es übersichtlicher ist.
