Nextdoor could have been a great tool for neighborhood organizing against ICE and fascism in general. Instead it's locked down tight, censored as hell, and full of frothing MAGA supporters.

I wish I could figure out some other way to set up a Signal chat for my neighborhood!

I just got a flyer from folks up the street (I don't think I know them, but am not actually sure yet) inviting the people in our house to join a #nextdoor group to discuss planning a block-wide garage sale.

I loathe nextdoor, but I will likely join anyway because I loathe the crap accumulating in my house more. :)

I would love to suggest "next time, maybe try this:" to them - but I don't actually have a good "this" to suggest off the top of my head. Anyone? (Thus far, all I can come up with is, "at least it's not Facebook")

After reading all the hate and stupidity on Nextdoor, I don't want to live here any more.

Omg, k heb nu voor de 3de keer deze kerstvakantie een ban op Facebook en op Nextdoor. Waarschijnlijk voor het delen van de impopulaire mening van een longpatiënt en die mijn aanval op deurbelcamera's. Of te snel korte berichten typen, als ik enthousiast word over een nieuwsitem ;)
