A while ago I installed #LineageOS 17 on my #Nexus6P [Otherwise known as the #Archer model] and it was saved from E-waste.

Now the battery only lasts minutes rather than hours.
I'm sure if I could put a new battery in this phone it would live on.

Anyone ever changed the battery on one of these things! Is that doable d'ya think?

It was #NewPhoneDay for me this weekend 😁

Decided to go with the #Pixel7Pro since I've been using #GrapheneOS on my #Pixel5 for a while

I'm really happy with the new design they introduced with the Pixel 6.. brings me back to 2016 when my daily driver was the #Nexus6P.. they've gone full circle

Plan: alternatives #OS auf ein #Android Phone aufspielen um #googlefrei unterwegs zu sein.

Es stellen sich mir folgende Fragn:

• kann ich es riskieren, das mit einem recht neuen #RedmiNote11ProPlus5G zu machen? Dafür käme dann nur #LineageOS in Frage? Wie hoch ist die Chance, dass ich das dabei bricke?

•Hätte alternativ auch nix dagegen, mir ein #Nexus5 #Nexus6p #XperiaZ3Compact oder #GalaxyS7 dafür zuzulegen. Mit einem dieser Geräte kämen auch andere OS in Frage?

Longevity is the reason I jumped from #android to #iphone. I was a steadfast #nexus6p user for the longest time. I bought a refurbished nexus from a friend who also had one. The battery started dying around two years in and then Google pushed an update. My friend’s phone started to die first then mine a few weeks later. I couldn’t even have GMaps open for more than 5 minutes before the phone would off itself.

If only I could hold on to my problematic #Nexus6P so I could buy Librem 5! But nope... I bought an LG V35 from AT&T since last July so I can start looking for entry-level jobs in IT. Can't rely in my Nexus 6P's battery shutting down at as high as 98%.

Aha, I should be eligible! I still have my Nexus 6P and had to buy a Pixel 2 XL to replace it as the battery kept shutting down. It cost me a fortune to replace and I never felt I could try sell off a faulty phone.
