One of the franchises that is most conspicuously missing from #Nintendo’s lineup, that I think would work VERY well for them on mobile is #Nintendogs.

It’s easy to picture in-game interactions, virality from sharing options, unnecessary but lucrative in-app purchases.

I wonder if we’ll see it again some day.

Don't know where I got these #Nintendogs cards but glad I kept them all these years 🐕

Ten different cards from Nintendogs, each showing a different dog breed. Some pairs have different background arts indicating they are probably for different purposes than the common ones that just highlight breed characteristics on the back but these aren't playing cards so I have no idea what these were for. Two of them show art from a couple of the game covers, and these are all from the original set of DS games.

My #Nintendogs pets, the aforementioned feelings-shredding kitten Sierra, and the wily shiba inu pup Zorro.

I'm using the game to practice my Spanish pronunciation, since you record the pet names and command words using the microphone. Zorro's command to sit up is "arriba" (up), and the command to lie on his back is "barriguita" (tummy). I was careful when recording, so now they will only respond when I correctly trill my double R's.

I've been playing the 3DS version of #Nintendogs, and yesterday I adopted a kitten in the game, which reminded me how much I miss having a cat in real life. Abbie, the cat in my profile pic, passed away several years ago at the age of 18.
