Nike have been sent packing in Hackescher Market, Berlin!! Due to people constantly smashing their massive shiny windows Nike have finally got the message that they are not wanted here and are moving somewhere less conspicuous hopefully out of the city completely.
They represent the worst of capitalist greed and consumerism and I'm proud they've been run out of my neighborhood.
This is the only city where I've seen McDonald's shut down cause no one went there 😂

A line from Naomi Klein's "No Logo" mesmerized me:
“What haunts me is not exactly the absence of literal space so much as a deep craving for metaphorical space: release, escape, some kind of open-ended freedom.”
In addition to that, I feel an even deeper craving for that literal space, the very physical unmarketed public space and space filled with non-human life. It's too easy to equate it with space devoid of people, rather than brands/corporations, it's hard not be misanthropic.

2/ Weil es gerade passt. Vor einigen Monaten habe ich mal Aktivist*innen fotografiert, die gegen Ausbeutung entlang der Lieferketten protestiert haben. Ein Person hatte einen #Puma-Rucksack. Puma wird genau solche Ausbeutung vorgeworfen.

Man kann die Logos übermalen. Schwarzer permanent Marker oder eben Sachen ohne Logo kaufen.
Ich hatte ja mal hier gefragt, wo man logofreie Kleidung kaufen kann. Die Antwort war #Grundstoff. Hab's probiert und bin sehr zufrieden. (Sorry, jetzt gibt's hier doch noch Werbung, aber das ist das einzige Problem, das logo-freie Firmen haben: Niemand kann einfach herausfinden, wo es so tolle schwarze Pullover gibt.)

Ich suche eine Ökomarke, die keine sichtbaren Markenlabels hat. Also: Gar keine. Nicht, ist ja ganz klein, sieht man kaum. Mich ärgern auch diese fast unsichtbaren Labels. Ich denke, da ist ein Fussel und will die wegmachen. Ist wie Tattoo im Gesicht, soll man nicht machen, weil man da immer hingucken muss und dann anfängt zu schielen.
Die andere Person meinte: Solche Firmen gibt es nicht. Ja, ist paradox: Wenn es sie gibt, weiß man es nicht, weil man ja nirgends ein Logo sehen kann. Also: #FollowerPower, kennt Ihr eine Ökofirma ohne Logos? Geht mir hauptsächlich um Pullover und T-Shirts. #nologo
I always wonder why more of these bloated behemoth brands like Nike would rather dilute & die chasing the dragon of unlimited expansion and growth than get back to doing what they did well in the first place: making sports shoes.
I wonder how many of the current c-suite of the fortune 500 have read #NoLogo this decade (or at all).
Regardless, I wonder how many of them see their brands as monstrous, bloated distortions of the naive spirit and beneficial functionality they once embodied.
43/ Ich hatte mich ja neulich beim #HandwerkKlebt-Post über Menschen beschwert, die auf ihren Mützen Jeep South Africa oder so stehen haben (#nologo), aber wenn da #Refused oder #FLINT oder Polizei drauf steht, dann ist das ok. Dann sagt das ja was über Euch aus.
Hier wurden die Manschaftswagen als Absperrung benutzt.
Mich stört Text allgemein in den Bildern, weil Menschen, die lesen können, den Text lesen müssen. Das lenkt ab, denn es ist ja keine Werbung für Outdoorjacken sondern ein Bild von einer Blockade oder eine Demonstration. Und wenn es dann noch im Kontrast zum eigentlichen Inhalt steht, ist es halt blöd.
Und ich denke, dass man auch als Käufer von #Fairware ein Markenopfer sein kann. Ich selber habe gerne faire ökologische Sachen. Aber ohne Logo. Farbe ist egal. Hauptsache schwarz. Ich habe eine #vaude-Jacke nicht gekauft, weil an der schwarzen Jacke ein außen sichtbares grünes Logo für deren Öko-Linie dran war. ICH WILL DAS NICHT. Sollen die gute Sachen machen, dann kaufe ich die, aber Werbunglaufen für die will ich nicht.
