"Maine’s Department of Education (DOE) issued a statement on Tuesday opposing President Donald Trump’s day-one executive order that officially acknowledges there are only two sexes and preserves women-only spaces from males.
“The Executive Order ‘Defending Women From Gender ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government’ applies to the Federal government/Federal government agencies only and does not inhibit the force of Maine law or locally-adopted school board policies,” said the DOE’s priority notice."

UK teachers vow to support trans students in defiance of new guidance

The USA is sliding further into a state of theocratic fascism.
Fascism can move with awful speed to take away women's rights to safe healthcare. Here's a timeline:
- In 2000, the FDA accepted science and approved Mifepristone, a medicine that's been used around the world for years for safe abortions.
- In 2012, Thomas O Rice was appointed by Barack Obama as a US District Judge.
- In 2019, Donald Trump gave Matthew Kacsmaryk a lifetime appointment as a US District Judge.
- Now, within minutes of each other, Matthew Kacsmaryk put a hold on approval of mifepristone, and Thomas O Rice ruled to protect continued access to mifepristone.
I worry that this issue will head to the Supreme Court, and the outcome will be regressive because SCOTUS is stacked with judges appointed by the GOP.

Our rights have gotten better in some places regarding our possibilities for family, which is good! But, only take advantage if you want to.
