When I lived in Tulsa close to the river, I found a burr #oak tree to harvest #acorns from. I went back year after year.

I think tomorrow I'll go hunting for another as I'm in Osage county now.
Always good to know your surroundings & sources of free food. 😋

Happy solstice, the traditional time for the festival of Litha. In 2023, I made this mixed-media artwork inspired by Pagan tradition.

A magical (if I do say so myself) portrait showing a python rising from the grass before a stump with a sword embedded within it while the sun hangs high in a partially cloudy sky over the mountains in the background. A ring of mushrooms encircles the python and the stump. In the corners of the portrait are illustrations of plants. Inscribed over everything is a magic circle with a pentagram, elemental and astrological symbols, and the Wheel of the Year.
