After a tipoff from a media organization, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) drafted a memo describing allegations that a federal security officer was responsible for the failed Jan. 6 pipe bombings. A copy was circulated at the officer's workplace and among Trump administration officials, and conservative site Blaze News published an article naming her. The woman in question has now been ruled out as a suspect after she provided an alibi: A video of her playing with her puppies at the time the devices were placed. @CBSNews looks into the ODNI's part in it all.

A memo from the #ODNI [Russian asset #TulsiGabbard], which was seen by The AP, accuses the targeted individuals of having engaged in the “politicization or weaponization of intelligence” to advance personal or partisan gain.
"There is no indication of a Russian threat to directly manipulate the actual vote count through cyber means," wrote an #ODNI official whose name was redacted in a newly published email. "However, as seen in recent media reporting, any cyber activity directed against the election infrastructure is likely to have an effect on public confidence," they continued.
