Die außer der Reihe eingeschobene Veröffentlichung bringt hauptsächlich Fehlerbereinigungen und Sicherheitsupdates vom Upstream Ubuntu und von der UBports Foundation.

I’ve been invited to speak at the ITA Showcase in Portland, Oregon.
The session title is “Securing Success: Meeting Cybersecurity Requirements for Federal Grants in Critical Infrastructure.”
Yup. Federal Grant applications in certain critical infrastructure categories, like rural broadband initiatives, now require verification of cybersecurity standards and practices as part of the application process.
First: that’s great news, and it’s about time.
Second: “Oh wow, if I want to compete for this grant money I’d better get my company’s cybersecurity under control!”
You gain a significant advantage in getting the grant if your cybersecurity section in the grant application is squeaky clean. I’ll break it down for you in this seminar at the ITA Showcase.

O.T.A. : Basket avec une semelle en pneu recyclé
culturemarche.com vous propose de découvrir la marque OTA. Une marque de sneakers durable et éco-responsable dont la semelle est conçue à partir de pneus recyclés. Une belle idée, pour remettre de l’histoire en marche et marcher vers un avenir meilleur.
L’histoire de la marque O.T.A. (On The Asphalt) fondée par Arnaud Barboteau remonte à 2015. Après 2 ans de recherche et l’idée de proposer une semelle de basket en pneu recyclé, c’est en 2018 que la marque lance sa production avec des modèles confectionnés selon des standards de qualité élevés et de manière éco-responsables : Tous les composants proviennent d’Europe et sont entièrement recyclés. Les lacets, le caoutchouc, tout comme les cuirs en provenance d’Italie sont des matières recyclés pour une production dans un atelier au Portugal. Pour ce qui est de la fameuse semelle, l’équivalent d’un pneu est recyclé pour 3 paires de sneakers produites.
Il a été décidé dès le lancement que chaque modèle portera le nom et les coordonnées GPS d’un lieu insolite et méconnu, souvent repris d’un road trip effectué par le fondateur de la marque. Ce qui donne un intérêt important entre l’ancienne vie du pneu sur l’asphalte, d’où la marque O.T.A. (On The Asphalt), et sa nouvelle vie à nos pieds.
Comme un appel à l’évasion et à l’aventure, les chaussures de la marque O.T.A. ont donc toutes une histoire, certaines ont pu faire même le tour du monde avant de se retrouver aux pieds d’un marcheur. Reconditionner le passé pour mieux façonner l’avenir est une belle image que l’on peut mettre à profit en portant à ses pieds un modèle de la marque. Pourquoi pas le nouveau modèle : HEDAS (en photo ci-contre) ? Une nouvelle chaussure qui sera mise en vente au mois de février sur le site de la marque, avant d’être commercialisée dans certaines boutiques au printemps 2025. A noter que la marque a été reprise fin décembre 2024 par David Sampaio.
