These past couple years, I’ve gotten back into #fiction reading. Mostly #scifi and #fantasy, of course. For a precious few minutes a day, entire worlds are opened up to me. I can’t describe how wonderful it’s been.

Now reading: #Oathbringer (Sanderson) and #RedRising (Brown).

On deck: #ShatteredEarth (Tchaikovsky), #StarterVillain (Scalzi) and #HailMary (Weir).

#brandonsanderson made me cry ugly tears. Finished #oathbringer in the #stormlightarchives series. The way he writes about #addiction is powerful.

Prompt 21 - a book where the main character is a politician - April 2, 2025 - In the third installment of The Stormlight Archive, Dalinar acts as a politician trying to unite the kingdoms of Roshar against Odium. While I still enjoyed this book, I found there were a lot of pacing issues in this one.

So one of the #books I've been (slowly) reading is #Oathbringer. I was reading the mass market paperback but found that the text is much smaller and the book is too fat. So I switched to the ebook and have been consuming it a lot quicker now. #avidreader #bookworm #BrandonSanderson

Now that I'm done Kingdoms of Death, I don't know if I should start #Book 5, #AshesOfMan, or #Oathbringer by #BrandonSanderson. I'm still reading #EmpireOfTheDamned (I'm 46% done), but I always have at least 2 #books going. I'm thinking Oathbringer. I need a break after that dark #SunEater book.

Wrapped up another #Sanderson door stopper with #Oathbringer… yes it does go on and on and on but the payoff is amazing AND it’s convinced me to be #TeamStormlight over #TeamMistborn (though I haven’t checked out Era 2 of #Mistborn yet so I could change my mind.)

Finished #oathbringer last night. Was a bit of a challenge to get through at times, but Sanderson’s depreciation of mental health, addiction and physical disabilities was really positive. And act 3 is so good, and has just as large of an impact to the world as the other two books
