@charlesgaba I know you are handling #Medicaid and the #ACA (#AffordableCareAct aka #ObamaCare ), but not many people are talking about the billions of decreases in #Medicare spending in Trump's "Big Beautiful [GOP House passed Budget] bill," which often go hand and hand, esp with #disabled people on Medicaid and #MedicaidExpansion Medicare linked state programs...

They got this linked notice from the CBO on May 20 and decided to pass it May 22.

"Today the Congressional Budget Office transmitted an estimate of the
budgetary effects of the 2025 reconciliation bill...."

"The 4 percent maximum reduction in Medicare spending would apply to
sequestration orders for years after 2026. If OMB ordered a sequestration of $230 billion for each year through 2034, the ordered "reductions in Medicare spending would increase" to about $75 billion in 2034 and would total roughly $490 billion over the 2027–2034 period."

I use #ACA (#obamacare) to get my healthcare coverage and just noticed an infuriating detail in this dumb #gop budget: The bill would eliminate passive reenrollment. I’d have to apply for and re-enroll for coverage every year. Miss the shortened 30 day window and you’re out — no healthcare. How is this efficient?

In 2017, @shoq, Pres. Obama told Pres. Trump that he would support Trump calling #Obamacare #Trumpcare, if that is what it would take for Trump to support it. Trump did not agree to this deal.
