Oblivion Remastered (PS5)

It’s been a long time since I last played Oblivion, but it’s just as good as I remember. The increased detail, faster loading, and other improvements here no blunt have something to do with that. It still seems to have most of the original bugs intact, mind.

Endlich Geld. Och ging die damals übliche #AMD route. Dieser schicke 1800 Ahtlon der zum 3200 Übertacktet werden konnte. Woohoo! Der Wind in den Haaren!

Bis dato alles Gebraucht. Das erste neue was ich kaufen durfte (Freundin, jetzt Ehefrau sei dank) war eine ATI X850. #Oblivion lief nicht mit meiner damaligen, alten nvidia.

Ab dem Punkt wurde es dann eher langweilig. Man hatte Geld, mal mehr mal weniger, aber ich konnte mit kaufen was ich brauchte.

I’m sure Oblivion will be lovely to look at, but it tempts me to say things like “Doing less with more is the modern approach.”

What annoys me about the movie #Oblivion is that there was no need for faceless aliens. The movie would have been far more terrifying and portentous if the earth had been ruined by humans. The rest of the plot need hardly have changed.

The soundtrack is great though.
