🔍The European Huns had ancient Siberian roots

A linguistic study by Dr. Svenja Bonmann and Dr. Simon Fries proves that the European Huns shared a common Paleo-Siberian language with their Asian ancestors, the Xiongnu. 🌎

The researchers analyzed linguistic data from e.g places and water names. The results: both the Xiongnu ruling dynasty and the ethnic core of the Huns spoke Old Arinian. 🤓

Am Fluss Jelogui, einem Zufluss des Jenisseij in Sibirien. In der Region leben noch einige wenige Sprecher einer Jenissejsprache, des Ketischen. Die Sprache der europäischen Hunnen gehörte zur gleichen Sprachfamilie. | On the River Yelogui, a tributary of the Yenisei in Siberia. A few speakers of a Yenisei language, Ket, still live in the region. The language of the European Huns belonged to the same language family.
