This image is an aerial view of the Old City in Jerusalem, showcasing a dense urban landscape with numerous buildings featuring red-tiled roofs. Prominent religious structures can be seen at various points across the cityscape, including domed and cruciform-shaped churches or mosques that stand out against the otherwise uniform architecture.

In the foreground, we observe historic stone walls enclosing what appears to be an ancient enclosure known as Herod's Fortress (or the Temple Mount), with a large open plaza within it. The streets seem narrow and winding among buildings closely packed together. Notable landmarks such as the Dome of the Rock and possibly other significant religious sites are visible in the distance, dominating the skyline.

The overall color palette consists mainly of earth tones—browns, reds, and tans—that blend with the natural surroundings. The photograph captures a historical snapshot of Jerusalem's Old City during a time when it was under different governance compared to today.

Braga in Silence and Light

Between the whisper of stones and the cool breath of night, Braga breathes history through every illuminated façade.
The churches rise like prayers carved in stone, the alleys keep echoes of ancient footsteps, and the squares sleep beneath the calm gaze of their towers.

By day, the city dresses in sunlight and time;
By night, it becomes pure poetry made of shadow and glow.
Here, the past never sleeps it only contemplates.

I have some very fond memories of past trips to Lübeck, so I painted their famous Holsten Gate. It's like the entrance to their old city centre, famous for marzipan and parades.

Since it's germany, the Holsten Gate is usually surrounded by cars. It took the liberty of replacing every car with a tree and I think the city of Lübeck could do the same! :BlobHajMlem:

Watercolor painting of famous Holstentor in Lübeck. It's a huge city gate fortified with two towers. There is a church tower in the background. Left and right the gate is flanked with trees. Some people are walking to it in the foreground.

The walks in Tartu. Supilinn, the old slum area but not anymore, in the beginning of 1900's the river Emajogi was flooding in these houses. The rich people lived on the upper areas.
