In Omniplex Cinema Dundonald to see #NewFilmRelease Elio from Pixar.
In Omniplex Dundonald to see #NewFilmRelease The Phoenician Scheme.
I enjoyed Mission Impossible: The final Reckoning. It’s complete nonsense of course. As much of a fantasy as The Lord of the Rings.
It didn’t end the way I hoped. But I can’t elaborate on that until we’re past the reasonable spoilers period. Opening week isn’t that.
Anyway. It’s worth seeing. I expect I’ll buy it on Apple Store for future rewatches. Rated 8/10.
In Omniplex Dundonald MAXX to see #NewFilmRelease Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning.
I’m going to see if I can overdose on Pic n Mix Jelly Beans.
Wait, The Phoenician Scheme film is out in cinemas already? I thought it just had a premiere at Cannes?
Happy days. That’s two films to see this week. The Phoenician Scheme and the new Mission Impossible film.
And Fountain of Youth on Apple TV+.
An opportunity to boost my #OneFilmPerWeek stats for this year!
I enjoyed Thunderbolts*. It was fun. I didn’t care about the previous Avengers films. I like this motley collection of characters more. 👍🏻 8/10.
Now in Sugar Rays Dundonald for obligatory pint and fries.

I’m in Omniplex Cinema Dundonald MAXX to see #NewFilmRelease Thunderbolts* film. I know nothing about the characters and nothing about the plot. Plus I’m not that interested in the Marvel universe. The only thing I’ve seen about the film is a BTS video about the Florence Pugh stunt at the top of a skyscraper. And I hate heights. So that all bodes well!
Lord help me. I’m considering going to see A Minecraft Movie on Friday.
In Omniplex MAXX Dundonald to see Black Bag film.
In Omniplex MAXX Dundonald to see #NewFilmRelease A Complete Unknown.
Booked to see A Real Pain film tomorrow. The first cinema trip of the year.
I was going to reboot #OneFilmPerWeek today with a dander to the cinema. To nippy out for that. I’ll make use of the streaming services I have and watch a film online or via a VOD rental.
We Live In Time film opens in the UK and Ireland on 1st January.
I’m going to use it as the first film of my 2025 #OneFilmPerWeek project reboot.
I started this project in January 2015 with the requirement that I pick at least 1 new cinema release each week to see, even if nothing in particular grabbed me. I’ve seen some brilliant films I wouldn’t have as a result.
The pandemic derailed it. Then, the Hollywood strikes reduced output.
Time for a reboot!
Updated my New Film Releases Seen in 2024 page. I've only seen 22 new films this year. This is week 45 of the year. So I've only seen half of the new films needed to hit the one per week goal.
Proper reboot of the #OneFilmPerWeek project on 1st January 2025.

The films with a yellow star will be on my favourite films of 2024 list in a few weeks.
In Omniplex Dundonald to see #NewFilmRelease Small Things Like These.
My desire to watch new films has been very low for much of this year.
I can feel the desire that drove the One Film Per Week cinema project for years before the pandemic getting stronger again.
Hopefully 2025 will see a more consistent weekly cinema schedule reemerge 🤞🏻
In Omniplex Dundonald to see #NewFilmRelease The Outrun.
In Omniplex MAXX Dundonald to see Star Wars: A New Hope for #OneFilmPerWeek
