It’s certainly fascinating to read a bunch of discussions about @keybase and the refusal to allow a username change because it would make the whole “identity proof” system wonky and insecure.
Yet at the same time I can replace or abandon every single of my proof entries because all of it - including my username - gets incorporated into their blockchain and has a traceable history.
Shouldn’t that imply it’s perfectly safe to change your username (because honestly.. life sometimes forces these changes more than it makes you get a new reddit account guys)?
At the same time.. since #Zoom acquired them they’ve basically stalled and got removed from a number open proof systems so if anyone has a viable #alternative to #keybase any #advice would be very welcome.
