Is there any difference between the notions of #operative image and #OperationalImages ? I have seen both terms and am confused.

Immediately after reading this I picked up Bateson's Mind and Nature, and soon came across this page, which - in the context of #OperationalImages - now reads as an early account of the operationality of images in the person-machine interface.
