Das jetzige #Rathaus wurde 1528 nach einem schweren Stadtbrand wiedererrichtet und 1608 sowie 1919 umgebaut. Das Türblatt am schönen #Portal aus der Renaissancezeit ist original erhalten. // For #Doorsday, I'm sneaking in one more before the new prompt – the intricate #door of Naumburg #townHall. The building was rebuilt in 1528 after a fire that destroyed much of the town centre and was remodeled in 1608 and 1919. This 1896 engraving shows the entrance to Batalha Monastery The portrayal of light and shadow, foreground and depth, is very strong here.

There are clear Moorish influences, i’d say, being no expert in such things.

This is a doorway at Batalha Monastery in Potugal, or rather, a portal, as there do not seem to be physical doors that close. It is made of intricately carved stone, with a five-part main arch in which each part is a segment of a circle and is toothed with smaller circles, and the whole then duplicated at slightly smaller sdcale just behind, and and another larger toothed arch, this time in six piees, in front. Either side has niches for statues, or possibly contains invisible angels.
