This is probably the right decision legally: yes, the government should have the right to cull farm animals if they have reason to believe they're a source of a serious disease. That said, maybe CFIA could show mercy? Avian influenza hit the farm in December 2024, so even if a cull then was right, maybe it's unnecessary now.
