@yoohooair Thanks for the hint, seems like a must-see to me. I'm currently reading In the Shadow of Man by Jane Goodall, which seems like basically the same approach with chimpanzees instead of octopusses.

Have you read Other Minds by Peter Godfrey-Smith? Definitely worth reading for everyone interested in octopusses. Makes one wonder if these creatures have possibly already developed beyond us.

I love these creatures and they never stop being fascinating. Also, for all those interested here, I again want to highly recommend Peter Godfrey-Smith's great book Other Minds, which looks at octopuses from the angle of evolution of intelligence and discusses them as a potential third evolution path of intelligence not yet taken into account.

Mind-body problem has been largely supplanted in times of compassion scarcity and affective flows. SF allowed its collective mind tentacles to explore a wider sensorium and even non- phenomenological or apperceptive (causal efficacy?) means of feeling or being.

Let me try to say in intuitive terms what I think is really going on here.

The problem is as old as those about #OtherMinds, #Intersubjectivity, or #Commensurability and it involves a whole slew of other old problems — #RealityVsAppearance or #RealityVsRepresentation, not to mention #TheOneAndTheMany. One way to sum up the question might be “conditions on the possibility of a #MutuallyObjectiveWorld ”.
