Snowkissed Romance Demo and Kickstarter Now Live!
Indie game studio Lovely Inc., the creators of the otome game My Love for You is Evermore, has just launched a Kickstarter campaign for their new title, Snowkissed Romance, an otome game inspired by 90s shoujo-anime.

It’s winter break 1994-1995; you arrive in the enchanted ski town of Yukihari for your last winter break before college, expecting nothing more than a peaceful holiday at your aunt’s cozy resort. That is, until your older brother crashes with your childhood friends from years past! Old friendships, budding romance, and hidden emotions soon turn this simple getaway into a life-changing journey of self-discovery.
MAIN CHARACTERS
Ren Usui (Taurus, 18)
Ren is confident, casual, and always seems to know what to say. He’s naturally good at everything he does, making him popular with everyone he meets. He enjoys making others laugh, helping a friend pick up a new hobby, or just hanging in for the night.
After moving from place to place due to his parents’ work, Ren is happy to finally be back home in Japan, searching for the stability he’s been missing. Despite his cool and collected demeanor, you notice a lonely look in his eyes.
Ren is voiced by David Matranga, the voice of Shoto Todoroki in My Hero, Takumi Usui in Maid-Sama, and Tomoya Okazaki in Clannad.
Kichirou Ishii (Scorpio, 19)
Kichirou is quiet, reserved, and doesn’t easily show his emotions. Sometimes his words are the exact opposite of what he means, but in reality he’s deeply caring and protective of the people in his life. Behind his sharp tongue, there’s a softer, more vulnerable side to discover.
After losing his mom and moving to Kyoto six years ago, Kichirou is still grappling with difficult emotions as he tries to make sense of his past and where he fits into his new life.
Kichirou is voiced by Aaron Dismuke, the voice of Senku Ishigami in DR. STONE, Miyuki Shirogane in Kaguya-Sama: Love is War, and Prince Arslan in the Heroic Legend of Arslan.
Yoh Moriyama (Pisces, 18)
Yoh is the rebellious, flirtatious type who loves pushing boundaries. He’s the life of the party with undeniable charm, but can you trust what he says? Beneath his playful exterior, he struggles with the pressures of his affluent upbringing, which have greatly altered his outlook on life.
When Yoh’s family moved to Okinawa to build their company’s headquarters, he began to rebel. Preferring the company of delinquents, he found freedom in skating and developed a taste for breaking the rules, drifting further from his family’s expectations.
Yoh is voiced by Kaiji Tang, the voice of Gojo Satoru in Jujutsu Kaisen, Jinshi in Apothecary Diaries, and Osamu Daizai in Bungo Stray Dogs.
Shinichirou Matsubara (Capricorn, January 8th)
Shinichirou is the golden boy of Yukihari, the small ski town where he’s born and raised. You’ve known him since childhood and have grown used to seeing him every winter break. Always kind and caring, he’s a natural leader who knows everything about everyone in town.
He works as a shift manager at your Aunt’s cocoa shop, where he’s always there to help, whether you’re picking up a shift or seeking advice. As your trusted confidant, Shinichirou offers guidance on relationships and how to spend your days in Yukihari.
Shinichirou is voiced by Jessie-James Grelle, the voice of Ritsuka Uenoyama in Given, Satan in the Devil is a Part-Timer!, and Yuri Katasuki in Yuri!!! on Ice.
SIDE CHARACTERS
Toma (Leo, August 20th)
Toma is your older brother who loves to tease you, but he’s always there when you need him. Dedicated to his friends and family, he’s adventurous and confident, though sometimes a bit clueless when it comes to reading others’ emotions.
After heading off to Tokyo U, Toma became the glue that brought the old friend group back together. When he unexpectedly crashes your winter break girls’ trip with the group in tow, you can’t help but wonder if he has ulterior motives.
Suki Shinju (Libra, October 3rd)
Suki is elegant, outgoing, and stylish with a sweet, caring personality. Though she comes from one of Japan’s most affluent families, she’s down-to-earth, speaks her mind, and always looks out for you.
You’ve been friends with Suki since kindergarten, and after most of you and your brother Toma’s childhood friend group moved away, you all grew even closer. You notice a quiet affection in the way she talks about Toma, though she never quite says it aloud.

CAMPAIGN
The current demo and the full game will be partially voice-acted. However, the KS campaign for Snowkissed Romance includes stretch goals that, if met, will fund full voice acting for the entire game. Other goals include additional in-game date spots, a new love interest character, and a console port for the Nintendo Switch.
