Which makes me wonder - is it that #patriarchal societies tend to be more rigorously hierarchical, with top-down management, where people lower in the hierarchy do not participate in decision making? Ignoring the ideas and experience of the obeyers (for lack of a better term) of any gender or class generally leads to sub-optimal solutions to problems, at least in the areas I have worked. (And my experience has been that not listening to the distaff contingent is a serious mistake.)

I was lucky to be born into a #matriarchal family. The women ran everything. They were the pillars of strength, the storytellers, the knowledge keepers, the healers, the mystics. When I first ran into the #patriarchal idea that men are somehow superior, I was baffled at how anyone could think that.
I'm grateful to all the women in my ancestry who blazed a trail for us today. May we continue to do so for all women. It's especially important now.

"But after July 2021, when he published an essay contending Ukrainians and Russians are a single people, Putin no longer shied away from making sexist and LGBTQ+-phobic comments in prominent settings.
